Many of my clients know, I get bored doing just one thing. So, as multipotentialites my husband and I run multiple businesses.
I want to share with you how I am working to be remarkably different in this world. I believe one should be walking the walk, not just talking.

Today I am in NYC, and my perspective on the world had definitely changed. It is 45 Degrees, a brisk yet sunny morning in NYC . Which to many of your reading this, you would think how awful! Brrrrrr that is cold. Well, my perspective is very different. Just a week ago in Minneapolis the weather was -24 Below Zero with wind chills of -50 to -70. So without counting the wind chill that is a +69 degree difference. I didn’t even need a coat to go to my meeting this morning.
So this got me thinking about perspectives. What if I chose to see the world through a black and white lens this morning? Taking pictures only of things that would look good in black and white. This was exciting. I saw NYC in a new light, looking for texture and shadow where ever I went. I noticed many things that I would have walked by.
Then as I thought about it, I decided the “Black and White” perspective was very expected and not very creative. ( See how we all judge ourselves) So I decided what other ways could I see the world this morning.
What if I could only take pictures that contained orange in them? As you can see my perspective of NYC changed radically.
So how can we apply this to our design and business problems? What perspective are you looking from? What if you changed your view? What new ideas would you come up with?
