What I love about the world is everyone’s unique gifts!  Everyone brings something to the table that is differentiated from each other. We bring something that world needs.  If it wasn’t needed we wouldn’t be here. We are all weird in a wonderful way.  We are born to creative.  What we create is found in that uniqueness.  Some might create a revolution, some might create a nurturing home, some might create a company, some might create a meal.  Each of these creations is just as valued and needed as the other.  Why do we judge these creations instead of celebrating them?

I go crazy when others try to stomp out our fires of uniqueness.  I often wonder why it is human nature to try to make us all conform to the same standards.  This effect is all around us.  It is in our grading system of education.  Why is it that we judge our children to be good or bad at such young ages?  Is it better to learn reading than to learn to read the world?  It is in the review systems of our corporate work environment.  While many companies claim that they want you to soar with your strengths, they often take the wind out of your sales by always discussing your “opportunities” .

Einstein Quote

Einstein’s quote ” Everyone is a genius.  But if you judge a fish on it’s ability to climb a tree it will spend it’s whole life believing it is stupid.” shows us that we can either judge ourselves and others by our genius, or some by some standard that will make us feel less than complete.  What are you judging yourself against?  Are you judging yourself by your genius?  Are you the best as what you do best?

Use your genius to be a deviant thinker!  Be proud of your uniqueness don’t let others water down your ideas.  Be bold in what you want.  Remember to dream unrealistic dreams, all the realistic ones are taken.
